The most amazing Salamaria in Bergen County, Dare I say the entirety of North Jersey. Cosmo the owner is super personable, nice guy. The sandwich bread is amazing and crusty and ingredients are fresh and the combanation of ingredients are rhe best around and Cosmo’s subs, the cold and hot are the best hands down I have every had anywhere, especially the #4(hot hint:get it with hot peppers and basalmic vinegar 
. I started going to Cosmo’s regularly in 2013 and even though Idont live or work in the bergan county area anymore, I will still from time to time drive over an hour from northern Sussex County just to have that #4 sub on the crusty bread and I top it off with a manhattan coffee soda and whenever I stop in for a sandwich (2-3 times a year) He has never forgotten my name or what I order. oh also, to echo what many patrons have stated, his homemade fresh mozzarella is amazing.

Let’s face it, this is New Jersey, you can’t swing a dead cat without hitting a good Italian deli, but they are not all the same. COSMO’s in Hackensack, stands head and shoulders above the crowd for the simple yet delicious sandwiches.
