Cover K9 was founded by Justin Nielsen in 2018 in an effort to bridge the gap between basic “companion based” dog training and “advanced/professional training” completed for working dogs. Justin believes strongly in the bond developed between a dog and their handler. Cover K9 Training techniques are routed in positive reinforcement, however Justin believes the key to establishing clear communication comes from an owner or handler establishing clear roles in their relationship with their canine companion. Whether it be a professional working dog, or your household pet, Justin believes in the same core values when it comes to training:
-Be the leader, know the information, do the work
-Whenever we interact with our dog we should have training in mind, we are always working to improve
-Train hard, but never forget to have fun!
